Mouldflo Flow Monitoring System

The Mouldflo Flow Monitoring System allows for a complete digital overview of injection mould circuits in real-time, including:
Temperature (℃) 
Supply water temperature in main feed & return water temperature in each individual mould channel
Flow (Re)
Return water flow in each individual mould channel
Pressure (bar)
Supply water pressure in main feed & return water pressure in main outlet
Having the knowledge of the above parameters gives injection moulders the ability to identify common cooling circuit problems, such as:
Build-up of scale and rust
Blocked waterways
Over-cooling, or under-cooling
Drop in water supply, or leakages
Incorrect piping
Early identification of the common cooling circuit problems results in:
Reduction of scrap
Reduction of cycle times
Reduction of machine downtime
Reduction of energy consumption

Mouldflo Manifolds

  • 4, 8 or 12 zone manifolds available in stainless steel, or aluminium versions
  • 2 temperature versions available: standard (0-95°C), or high temperature (0-120°C)
  • Different flow ranges available. Aluminium: 1-15 L/min per channel or 2-40 L/min per channel, stainless steel: 1-20 L/min per channel or 2-40 L/min per channel
  • Manifolds can be mounted directly on the platen, both static or moving side
  • Up to 8 manifolds can be 'daisy-chained' together to accommodate the necessary number of cooling channels. The system will automatically identify new manifolds and display them on the screen
  • The integrated flow sensors (1 in each channel) operate on the vortex flow principle, without any moving parts
  • Main supply and outlet ports are positioned on both, top and bottom of manifolds to provide maximum flexibility (blind plugs provided)
The Aluminium manifolds are also available in short pitch versions with 35mm between each cooling circuit port, resulting in a more compact design that can fit into very small spaces.

Mouldflo Interface Module

Mouldflo Interface Module (MF I/O)

The VNC capable Mouldflo I/O is the hub of the system and allows the manifolds to be easily connected to external devices. It can be connected to alarm beacons and marker signals coming from the injection mould and via Ethernet to any network available on the factory floor.

  • When mounted on the machine, the Mouldflo I/O module can communicate to external devices such as the injection moulding machine, part diverters, stack lights (signal tower) and data networks
  • The system is VNC (Virtual Network Computing) capable, eliminating the need for a touchscreen controller. The interface can be accessed via VNC from e.g. machine control panel
  • Equipped with a DIN-rail mount

Mouldflo Server (MFS)

The Mouldflo Server MFS is a compact computer which is always delivered with the latest Mouldflo software installed. The design makes the unit fit directly inside the electrical cabinet on the injection moulding machine.

  • The integrated VNC  feature allows easy integration on the machine control, laptop or tablet via Ethernet cable or WiFi router

Stainless Steel Manifold

The stainless steel manifold is constructed from AISI304 stainless steel with easily accessible holes on two faces for simple mounting. The compact and robust manifold resists corrosion thanks to the property of the stainless steel.

Customise Your Manifold

To match your specific requirements, the stainless steel manifold is available in several different versions. You can customise your manifold with a variety of different specifications: 

  • Flow range (1-20 L/min per channel or 2-40 L/min per channel)
  • Number of ports (4, 8, 12)
  • Standard (0-95°C), or high temperature (0-120°C)
Aluminium Manifold

The aluminium manifold is extruded with integrated T-slots on two faces for flexible mounting. The manifold is robust and has a black anodised aluminium exterior to resist corrosion. The design is compact and integrated, meaning that the manifold consists of very few separate parts.

It is available with 4, 8 or 12 ports with a standard 50mm between each port. It has two 1,5" flow inlets and outlets which offer maximum flexibility when mounting and connecting to the water supply.

The Aluminium manifolds are also available in short pitch versions with 35mm between each cooling circuit port, resulting in a more compact design that can fit into very small spaces.
